From the Coalition to March on the DNC website:

The March on the DNC coalition fights for the rights and liberation of oppressed people and against the exploitation of workers. Beginning on August 19th 2024, we will march on the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to bring the people's agenda to within sight and sound of the Democratic Party leadership.

We recognize the Democratic Party as a tool of billionaires and corporations.

Their actions, such as financing genocide in Palestine and war in multiple countries; continuing the mass incarceration of Black and brown people; deporting millions of immigrants; and neglecting campaign promises made to the oppressed communities who represent their voting base, show that the Democratic Party only serves the agenda of the rich and powerful. Recent gains in the rights of oppressed people have been made by grassroots organizations in spite of a lack of support and often outright opposition from Democratic Party leaders.

History has proven what Frederick Douglass once said: “power concedes nothing without a demand.”

We are calling on other grassroots organizations that are fighting for exploited and oppressed people to unite with us as we take the demands of the people to the Democratic Party in August 2024.

5 Broken Cameras Film Screening

5 Broken Cameras Film Screening

When his fourth son, Gibreel, is born, Emad, a Palestinian villager, gets his first camera. In his village, Bil'in, a separation barrier is being built and the villagers start to resist this decision. For more than five years, Emad films the struggle, which is led by two of his best friends, alongside filming how Gibreel grows. Very soon it affects his family and his own life. Daily arrests and night raids scare his family; his friends, brothers and himself are either shot or arrested. One camera after another is shot at or smashed. Each of the 5 cameras tells part of his story.

This is the LAST film in our summer Palestine film series! To be screened at the Kalamazoo Public Library downtown branch in the Van Deusen room with a group reflection to follow. FREE and OPEN to the public! Donations are welcome; all proceeds will be donated to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. Free street parking available or in the Epic Center ramp.

The People's Red Line DC Protest

🚨 WASHINGTON DC 🚨 The people charge Benjamin Netanyahu with genocide. When war criminal Netanyahu comes to Washington DC on July 24, we will SHUT DOWN DC and issue a notice of a citizen’s arrest.

The people of the world stand with Palestine and against the genocide committed by Israel with full support of the United States and impunity.
Join us in forming a People’s Red Line Against genocide around the Capitol building!

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the genocidal state of Israel should be arrested for war crimes and crimes against humanity. In fact, the International Criminal Court has requested arrest warrants for him and Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defense of Israel. We won’t let a war criminal walk the streets of DC.

If Biden and the US administration refuse to draw a real red line against genocide, WE WILL! We are the red line!

🇵🇸 NATIONAL MOBILIZATION! All out to DC!
🗓️ July 24
📍 The Capitol, Washington DC
🔴 Wear red!
