This annual event is always a profoundly moving experience, which features music and meditations from many diverse faith and cultural traditions. This year Bishop Paul J. Benefit to support youth programs in Eastside Kalamazoo Do you want to help kids? Do you like to square dance (or are you at least curious to try it)? Peace House, a community center of East side Kalamazoo that provides free after school and summer programs for kids, is holding their third annual square dance fundraiser, the Peace House Stomp, on Saturday, March 21. Festivities will take place at Fr. Bart Social Hall of St. Mary’s Church (939 Charlotte) from 7:00pm-9:30pm. Music will be provided by the Celery City Sodbusters and the dances will be taught and led by expert caller Mike Clark. Refreshments and Peace House merchandise will be available. Come join us! It’s a great cause and a wonderful celebration of music, movement, community and hope! Suggested donations are $10/person or $20/family, but feel free to pay whatever you can afford.
