Please Help KNOW with a table at Mothers of Hope – Sat. Aug. 6th, 2016

Hey KNOW friends,

There’s a good song going around about folks who want change,

and the refrain is “SHOW UP!”

Here’s an idea that needs YOU:

I have vendor entry to Mothers of Hope 2016 Ultimate Family Reunion,

Sat., Aug 6, noon – 5:p., LaCrone Park on Patterson St. e. of Douglas.

I have registered my other citizen cause, MLK Park Landscape Love,

for a first time vendor fee break of $30. If other causes join me, the normal fee of $100 is required.

AND AND AND

I’d love to share this with KNOW and Women in Black –

if we each throw $35. in, we can have a $100 spot in this HUGE event that gets 4 – 5,000 citizens at the event.

It is too late for us to get table and chairs, we bring our own.  We can also bring canopy covering, if anyone has one.

Yes, we should have been thinking about this months ago, oh well, it’s not a perfect world.

Will you join me at this event? Don Cooney is one of the core organizers,

he says the $100 goes for a great purpose, Mothers of Hope feeds the crowd!

Don says if KNOW comes, he’ll gladly spend some time at our space chatting up peace work.

That alone is huge, as Don knows everybody, everybody loves the guy, and he’ll be a great magnet for folks to stop by our turf.

We can bring a card table, our own lawn chair, etc., and make effort to chat up our causes.

It’s ok if we sell stuff, but they discourage vendors from giving out paper blah blah blah,

Don says that they’ve realized that most paper stuff just becomes a lousy trash problem when the event is over.

So, we smile and chat up our causes! Clip boards for email contact. Simple, minimalist, elegant, easy.

Our best sign, Another Family for Peace, and the most distinctive Women in Black sign would dazzle the crowd!

We might be in full sun, or way in a corner somewhere, vendors who want great placement spend mo $.

Will you give an hour or two for this? If we can get enough folks at our space, we can relieve

each other to have breaks and check out the rest of the action, that alone would

be a great way to chat up our causes w/other vendors.

FYI, Mothers of Hope started as an effort to pull

young people away from a local kkk event years ago, how’s that for peace in action?

Please let me know asap, friends, if you will show up!
