KNOW Annual Retreat – Saturday Jan. 10th, 9:30 am – 3:00 pm at Unity of Kalamazoo

Please consider this your personal invitation to attend the 2015 Annual Retreat of Kalamazoo Nonviolent Opponents of War (KNOW) on
Saturday, January 10th, from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm.
This year’s event will be held at the Unity of Kalamazoo church, 1204 Whites Road.  This is halfway between Oakland Drive and Westnedge.

We are hoping that you will join us for inspiration and sharing as we plan how to work with the many peace, justice and advocacy groups and individuals in our vibrant community, to work locally to change our national priorities from war to peace.  Think about some ideas and suggestions you have, to make our work more effective and more fun!  Bring a dish to pass for pot luck lunch if you can.

A presentation by Rev. Rich Peacock from Michigan Peace Action on the military budget will start us off in the morning.

Some of the Goals of the Retreat:
enjoy catching up and making new friends
develop a program of local action to further campaign to cut the military budget and redirect resources to human needs
enjoy a wonderful pot luck lunch
work on processes to attract and maintain activists and activism
work on approach to issues such as peace and justice for Palestine/Israel, Battle Creek Drone and anti-missile base, war and climate change
leave with some specific plans for the year

Hope to see YOU there!
