Just a reminder in case you have been busy with no access to the internet, phone, radio, or TV,
TODAY November 4, 2014 is ELECTION DAY!
KNOW does not endorse candidates, but it would be unconscionable not to mention that there are two long-time peace activists running for office.  Paul Clements is running for the 6th District Congressional seat, and John Fisher is running for the 61st State House district.  The polls are open until 8:00 pm tonight.  Do your own due diligence and VOTE!
Ground the Drones!

Join us in Battle Creek at the gates of the National Guard base   Saturday, November 8, 2014 1:00pm-2:00pm
While unmanned aerial drones are touted as a safe, accurate and low-cost means of waging the war on terror, the truth is that they are responsible for hundreds of civilian deaths, the terrorizing of civilian populations, and the perpetuation of the cycle of violence.

On Saturday, November 8 from 1:00pm-2:00pm, you are invited to join concerned citizens from across Michigan at the gates of the Air National Guard base in Battle Creek, 3367 W Dickman Rd. (49037) where drones are piloted. We will mourn the victims of drones and call on our neighbors and our leaders to end the use of these weapons and to embrace nonviolence as the real tool for building peace.

Afterwards, at 2:30 pm, we will gather at First United Methodist Church (111 East Michigan in Battle Creek) to share refreshments and a light meal as we plan the next steps in our efforts to ground drones.
