For several years, Kalamazoo Nonviolent Opponents of War (KNOW) has been participating in the Memorial Day Parade.

Our message is “Remember the Fallen, No More War”.  The response from the parade onlookers to our officially sanctioned parade entry has always been very supportive.  They have met our contingent with cheers and applause.

Join us on Monday, May 30 for a moving experience!  The parade route goes from downtown Kalamazoo to Riverside Cemetery on Gull Road, approx. 1.5 miles.  Meet between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM on the west side of the parking ramp located on the corner of Water Street and Rose. Look for our blue banner.  The parade is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM, but normally starts a bit behind schedule.  By the way, to members of the Women in Black who are interested in walking, please consider joining us as honored guests.  Your presence adds much to the somber reflection of the day.
